Has any one ever ac coupled with MPP solar
Has anyone ever used a Mpp inverter like the lv6048 or 5048 to create a grid & have the grid tied inverters come on . These seem like a cheap way to have a backup inverter.

a bunch of "how" it does that is discern-able here: https://www.tesla.com/support/energy...pp/go-off-grid I'm not currently aware of another system that does this, but I'd like to be. |

I think midnight solar & victron is also compatable with ac coupleing so they curtail the power output of the grid tied inverter. |

Some MPP inverters can supply backup power during the day using only PV connected to the PV DC input. No batteries needed!
The only other major brand I'm aware of with that feature is SMA. But while SMA requires a bunch of extra hardware if you decide to add batteries later, MPP just works with batteries.
