Well this project has gone down the crapper as far as I'm concerned. Today I got around to removing the metal supports from the sides of the coils... and managed to puncture the copper. Looks like this project is over. I don't have the money to buy all the equipment to recharge this. I think I'll just cut it apart and cap off the compressor ends at this point. Maybe I can use it in the future for a hot tub heat pump with a larger evap, a reversing valve, TXV, and tube in shell condenser.
