I paid $119 on sale. I have seen it cheaper once but my wife was not feeling well so I did not get by to pick it up. 119 is still a good price and the put out a coupon on it from time to time.

This comes from an Aquaponic course very telling. I and still on my first 25 lbs bag of fish food. Maybe 5 lbs. left.



No work on the greenhouse tonight I got rained out 

I have lost a few Tilapia due to cold temps and to big temp change in one day.
This has made me pick up my pace on building the greenhouse. The water is cold enough that none of the fish are eating much.

The bluegill ate a little better tonight.

I got rained out yesterday and it looks bad for today also. They say rain until Saturday afternoon.
Time to rest up and get some other work done. My ladder step was only coming from the Amazon warehouse 30 min from my house so I will have that step today.

It should be useful. I will use it putting up the big OSB sheets to lift the bottom to get in the first couple nails.
I am sure I will find many other ways to use it getting things level and plum.

I know this will look a little crazy but there four ½ bolts through the 4 x 6.
I am only lifting one side at a time. It is about 5’ high and I ran out of light.

We had another tilapia die and they boys have been wanting to try them. So here our first fillets. It was not very big but we will get to try one anyway.

Today we did not have very nice weather. It drizzled rain all day.
But I worked in it all day. I did not have my boys help me today because it was ridge beam day.
I thought it was too dangerous to have them help.

I did this old school way by jacking it up 6” put braces under both sides and do it again. I built a rail setup on the ends so the beam could not fall forward toward the barn. This worked really well but it was very slow.

Well it is up and I am so glad to have that done.
I only had enough daylight to get one rafter up. I am still happy to have the ridge beam up.

I used the harbor freight ladder yesterday and I really like that ladder. It is very well made and the parts fit very well together. (This is not always the case with HF) It is easy to adjust it to a new configuration. In step ladder mode you can go up either side. This is useful. It would be nice if it was taller in step ladder mode.
The step I got for the ladder was amazingly useful it was a must have in IMHO.
I will post a review on it when I have more time working with it. I don’t like to base a review off one use.
But I did use it for 10 hours.

10 hours is a lot more use than I would ever put on a step ladder! Even if I was just power washing the north side of the house, I wouldn't be able to last more than 5 hours!

I can see where that Werner 8' Fiberglass got too short for you. I guess you had to bring the HF ladder around and use it on both sides.. In non-step-ladder mode..

You are making me want to use that HF coupon. But, I've been spending like a crazy man on my Bucket list.. (Last two items were a .22 repeater PCP air rifle [AT44-10 QE] and a cute little RC sail boat).
I've added the HF ladder to my list just recently.

I have a Werner 6' Fiberglass a Werner 8’ Fiberglass and I borrowed a Werner 12' Fiberglass from my brother in-law.
The 12’ Fiberglass is so heavy and very hard to move around. The HF MT later is so much lighter and very easy to move. HF MT feels so much more solid when you are working on it than all those other ladders.
I also have a 24’ aluminum ext. ladder and a very cheap 16’ aluminum ext ladder.
The 24’ is pretty heavy but strong. I got this one when I did my solar install.

I wish I would have bought the HF ladder a long time ago.

At the end of the day yesterday I was using all three Werner ladders and the MT HF ladder.
This made it so I did not have to move ladders around very much.



Thought I would share this. I had a speed square and really only used it to draw a 90 deg line.
But now I have to make a birds mouth on my rafters. This YouTube video help me. Maybe someone else will find it useful
