Default meter I use

I bought 4 of these.....

ABB Watthour Meter kWh AB1 EZ Read Cyclone 4 Lugs 240V 200A FM 2S 3W | eBay

over the last couple of years. Built a little wooden box to put each one in or you could spring for the actual metal ones. Meter goes used for 20-25.00.

I put one on 220 ele. water heater (put a kill-a-watt meter on my heatpump water heater.)
Also put them on.... mini duct heatpump, well water pump, and dryer.

Then once a month I go around and write down the numbers and keep a chart. Works great. woody

And 2013 was:
HDD@65=5982
CDD@65=271
