Default A Self Watering Rain Gutter Grow System

Ok I saw this idea researching aquaponics.
I love this idea using 5 gallon buckets it keeps you from bending over so much. Low weeds and self-watering very low cost. Make sure you use a RV lead free hose if you do self-watering.

I think a cover to keep mosquito out would be useful.

This system is much like the auto pot system. The main difference, besides the obvious, is the fill valve. The auto pot system has a valve that lets the trough draw down mire before refill. With a clean water supply, these rigs are pretty much zero maintenance all grow season. Just add nutrients to the top when pruning or harvesting plants.

I have used a rig just like this for starting cuttings and seeds. I cut strips of xps to float in the gutters, then just cut holes in the xps the size of whatever. Works like magic.
