They said they would re-inverse me $ 30 a day , after the fact . Could not find a rental for that price & I do not trust them to pay me back . :-(

Wife has been driving our 2015 Chevy Sonic .

Hope they pay off like a slot machine !

Have not decided what we will do , when we get the check . May wait untill I fully retire & loose the company truck ?

God bless
Wyr

I have found when you make them provide a rental they move much faster. Last time someone crashed into my pickup truck I made them rent me a pickup truck because we have a small farm. I had them have the rental place direct bill them so no cost to me at all.
That made them move very fast so they did not have to pay that.
your insurance can say 25-30 a day but when someone hits you they should provide a rental.

I got a rental car as well. I just called them first and asked who they preferred I rent the car from. I did not ask IF I could have a rental. At the rental agency, they tried to send me out in a white Cavalier with black bumpers. I took a Skylark instead. The insurance paid the bill without issue.

Then when they lowballed me on my totaled S10. I told them I would be going to the doctor about pain I was having since the accident. My $4500 offer from them went to $6000 without having to hire a lawyer. After they paid off, I kept the rental car 3 more days at their expense until I bought my replacement vehicle.

Sadly, I have had the same insurance experiences over and over again. The last time I was hit, other driver was cited and deemed to be 100% at fault, I never told anyone I "was fine". I went immediately to ER and was seen and it confirmed numerous bumps/bruises. My airbag went off, crushed my sunglasses and I had some vision loss as well. It was temporary, but I documented it.

I was driving a pick up and they had picked out a Chevy Cavalier rental for me - no thanks. Like Pinball, I need a full size pick up. Then they tried to low ball me on my truck - I just stalled as the pick up was costing them about $55 a day.

At my leisure, I went through Craigslist, local ads and took pictures of each ad. Sent these to adjuster. Their proposed payment kept going up and up.

Then I made sure I did NOT sign off on future medical release as they requested in the fine print.

It is amazing how to get an adjuster to "help" you. The key is to be very polite and I followed up each conversation with adjuster with an immediate e-mail that described the conversation. Most times, they do not record the calls and they can assert you agreed to a settlement. The immediate e-mails resolved THAT.

Oh, and each e-mail was cc'd to my lawyer . . . . .

I have found the worst to be State Farm.
