Default wiring

So, today I got to the wiring. The temperature was 50 F (10 C) when I started, so I started outside. By the time I was done the outside wiring it was 38 F (5 C) or so. By the time I finished inside the shed it was 34 (1 or 2 C). Brrrrr.

Here you see the exterior combiner box. I wire the two panels in parallel for 10 amp/48 volts.

Here I've run the 6 gauge wire to the black combiners seen above. I used nonmetallic conduit and waterproof fittings.

Then I went inside to wire up the combiner box, fuses, controller etc.

Gee, can you tell it's the first wiring job of its kind I've ever done?

There are still some covers to put in place and wiring harnesses to attach, so it'll get a little tidyer ... and, it works, so pop the champagne baby .

Tomorrow the sun is supposed to make an appearance. And I'll get to see some numbers!

Maybe go for a drive. I ran out of 2 gauge so am thinking to wire the inverter with double ought. Well, that is what the inverter manual recommends.
