Wow, 40 panels stacked on a single skid??
http://www.wind-sun.com/ForumVB/showthread.php?t=9090
This sure looks like 40 panels stacked on a single skid.. It's amazing.. That has to be the maximum limit on stacking panels.. He got 45 total.. For about $500 each.. ($22,500).. No wonder they gave him free shipping! (1786.5 pounds total). That's a pretty big purchase.. (IMHO).. Cheers, Rich Last edited by Xringer; 01-09-11 at 07:37 PM.. |

Who's the lucky new owner? Will you take pics of the installation?
http://ecorenovator.org/forum/solar-...-per-watt.html ^ These guys stack 50 panels to a pallet, which seems about right to me - 1.5 tons per skid isn't too heavy, and it'll be less than the maximum 8' tall. |

I goofed up, and put the wrong URL up top. I just fixed it..
It's a guy out in Seattle, WA who did a 10kw install. I didn't read the whole thread, I was just blown away by the amount of panels on one skid. Seems over-the-top. I'm used to individually packaged panels. |

That's okay, I goofed too. 1500lbs is 0.75 tons, not 1.5. Silly USCS system.
And I agree, $20k of anything on a skid is pretty awesome. This guy is installing a pretty big solar system. Did he also say what is total installed cost is? A 10kW GTI can't be cheap. |

I've been goofing off and didn't get back to read the whole thing, but add on the cost
of 45 Enphase GTIs at $150.50 a unit.. |
