Default Hardwood Floors

Hello,
We laid parquet about half a year ago. This was treated with oil. Now I've spotted that gray spots have formed. We will probably have to oil it again.
How do you maintain your parquet? Is it "normal" to oil every six months?

Hello ,
we have oiled our parquet 1 year ago and it has zero gray spots. I do not think its normal to oil it every six months!
However, you should never clean the floor (!!!) with normal detergent. Did you maybe do that?
For this one needs special cleaning supplies.. Take a look on the internet (here is a good website for that (https://home2outdoor.com/how-to-clean-hardwood-floors/).
Of course, normal cleaners will remove the greasy oil, but you will have gray spots after some time.
It also makes a difference whether a lot of daylight falls on the floor or not. Somehow I have the feeling that the floor in the light of rather 'dehydrated', if you can describe it that way.
