This seems to be a good site to book marked. I have sort of a small shop area of welding and machining. Right now I'm working on a solar lift for groups of panels, only one axes. You can see I'm a DIY guy.

I built my own house, no help. Took 6 years and I've been living in it sence 1976. Your right, I put a lot of trades on leave if they were counting on working at my place.

The solar lift. It's only 4" tall (will slide under roof mounted systems) and will lift panels to 48" high. I'm on the second version. I'll be putting them on my panels. It's very hard to adjust 40 panels for my wife and I, four times a year. I was thinking about $50 per lift, but it's a lot of work to build all the parts for one. The easy part with the lifts, you use an electric drill to raise and lower panels, mostly all 6061 aluminum.

Wow, I checked out your on-line production info (again) and it's looking pretty dang good!

That's one Sweet solar install!! Going to a GTI system is on my bucket list..
Might see some panels on my roof pretty soon, if the country keeps going down-hill.
Running the mini-split during the day light hours would be my main goal.

Right now solar in Arizona is the way to go. My house is total electric. Got my Sept elect bill, it was zero too, all zeros this year so far. December and Aug is the hardest to generate enough to keep up with the electric meter. I've made some changes to the tilt system on the panels for Dec. My son's coming over to help finish up the adjusting tonight.

My projects are updated at my web site here. Shop I know this is not a Fab forum. But building a plasma table is in the works too, see my design info.

Oh ya, how to have a free home. I did it! Check out my site and see how it's done. Free and clear at age 30. No house payment for 36 years so far.
