Default hard wire tstat hack?

Most mini-splits do not have any way to directly connect a wall t-stat.

Figure on a relay at mini-spit and just turn the entire thing on and off?

Anyone worked a simple hack or tie-in to controller board? To lazy to reverse engineer the board, and schematics unobtainium.

Tired of buying $3 replacement remotes. Most mini-splits do not have any way to directly connect a wall t-stat.

Figure on a relay at mini-spit and just turn the entire thing on and off? But that leaves some 'hot' refrigerant in the outside unit.

Right now son's mini split is stuck on 70F, he want is slightly cooler, so if turning CB off when not in office that has the mini-split. Think it is just the remote.

6 week delivery for the $3 remotes from HK - of course one can get them from AmZ in a few days for $18! same part number

If this is an inverter mini-split, if you figured this out and actually did it, you'll be giving away the ability for the system to ramp up and down depending on the load imposed on the unit, which the compressor would probably end up running at a fixed speed(max speed?), you'll be giving up a bunch of efficiency related to its normal operation at lower output rates.
