Default Hello from Ohio!

Been a lurker for a while.. Figured I'd join in on the fun!

I live totally off grid and have now for near 12 yrs. I have 512 watts of panel and my whole house operates on 12 volts D.C. My only water source is my roof. I compost all of my bathroom waste and heat with a wood burner. 2 propane fridges, a stove and a h/w tank that only uses the pilot light.

Great site! I'll add where I can..

~Don

Welcome Don! Wow, thats very impressive setup! Do you have any pictures of your setup? It would be very cool to see.

Any plans for improvements or problems with the existing setup?

Ya, that's very impressive. What kind of roof do you have?

No problems. Just gotta live within your means. I'm somewhat limited to the amount of panel that I have but I'm very content..

I have a metal roof that I collect water from. It gives me great water as long as I keep the gutters clean..

I need to get a few more posts under my belt before I can post any pics. I tried... LOL

I figured. That's what I'd like to have on my roof one day instead of toxin filled asphalt roofing.
