Congratulations on your "new" pink house! I'm looking forward to your plans for the future upgrades.

Can I try to be the first to suggest a home energy audit. Having put mine off for years, I'm glad I finally had one done. I think it was well worth the money and it points out what really needs done to improve the efficiency.

Agreed, the energy auditor will be able to tell you exactly where the biggest bang for your buck will be as far as energy efficient improvements. Its well worth the money.

So I got in touch with a company that does energy audits.. Turns out they are within walking distance of my current rental home!
Once we close, I'm going to have them come out and perform their magic on the house (blower door, gas test, IR, etc) Their cost on a single HVAC home is $350, with half coming back from GA power! I can't wait!
