Default Reading reviews tonight and saw this..

I was trying to get a handle on Amana, how good are their AC products.?.

I was reading some reviews on central air conditioners and came across this:

Consumer Reviews of AMANA central air conditioners

Name: Laurence Lareau

Satisfaction Rating:
5 of 5 stars Very Satisfied

Review:
"30 Year Tech Tells You This Advice:"
99%+ of the time, when you have compressor or other problems it's an installation issue.
How can the engineers of ANY brand know what kind of idiot is installing your equipment?
If it's installed according to specifications, it runs according to specifications, without problems.
That is why you have excellent units (Good Installer) and troublesome units (Idiot Installer) in any brand.
Amana makes some of the best A/C equipment made, and the absolute very best gas furnaces on the market.

There are a lot of bad reviews here. Some of them speak of repeated service calls..
One has to wonder if a lot of these service calls are induced by the previous service call.?.

I wonder if some guys find they make more money by coming back every summer and pumping in more R-22,
instead of repairing the leak.?.
