The insulation contractor indicated that if we had paid him to do all the prep work it would have cost more to do than the insulation itself. After doing all that work - I don't doubt it or blame him. Frankly, if you wanted me to do the work I would bill you by the hour plus materials. Which is exactly what the insulation contractor said he would do.

If you have a low roof, it's a pain in the rear. A higher pitched roof wouldn't have been as bad. But, in the end the results ARE worth it. I'm already noticing how the house heats up less during the day than it used to (sorry, no #'s on this).
