It happens but I sure hate to create work for myself. It took a fraction of a second to spider its way through the whole outside panel. At least it stayed together and I taped every inch of the window. I will have to find a panel that matches the other panels to replace it with. At least it was the nonmatching panel.

Then the plants.

I now have all three top vents working with the auto openers. Just in time we are going to be in the 80’s today and by the end of the week maybe 90 F degrees.

Very nice. I have been running the solar powered fans in the greenhouse, but all of your wonderful ideas have given me a lot to think on about using less fans and more vents.
Do you have any fan blowing on your plants? I hear it helps with pollination.

I have no I fans running. Today it is 80 with no clouds it is just 79 in the greenhouse. There is a nice chimney effect from the front vents out the back top vents. It feels good in there.
It is so nice to have it all just work without power or me doing anything.

I have been using this Sonicare tooth brush to pollenate. I took off the brush head and taped on a Q tip.
This works really well.

What kind of solar fan are you using? Does it push a good amount of air?
How are your plants doing?

Its awesome to not have to use fans. Sadly the greenhouse was just a random idea that I did not put enough research into to make it like it should have been. So I've had to be resourceful to make it work.

Plants are doing quite well considering I didn't touch the entire system for 3 months until a few days ago, life has been hell.

But here are a few pictures of the cleaned up system. I still have lots to do but everything is producing nicely. Whiteflies still are a problem.

I have also been growing plants from seeds to plant in containers outside.

Solar fans, I should have said solar powered fans. I picked up these super cheap Army surplus units and am just using the dc fans on them. I have 8 fans in total running from the extra power that my panels make. I really need to tie some of there solar power into the house to use as well. But that and a vortex aerator will just have to wait.

You have lots of plants started. That should make a great summer garden.
One thing I like about aquaponics is everybody’s system is one off so they are all so unique.

This is two days tomatoes. I really like that they trickle in. that way we can keep up with them
We have given tomato plants to 6 family’s. Tomorrow we are giving about 20 tomato plants to a friend that knows a single mom that is taking care of four kids.
She uses her garden to help feed the kids. I am happy we were able to give them away to people that want them.
