I got some direct mail from my power utility recently.

In it, they are showing off the new energy calculator available through their web site.

It's a really nice one that covers electric, gas, what types of windows you have, all sorts of things.

It even includes total cost of ownership and other comparasons between incandescent and CFL bulbs and much more.

oh wow. It's even accurate. avg for me was $50, which is pretty accurate considering the $25 summer and $80 winter.
