Default Efficient cooking?

Does anyone have any tips or tricks on cooking more efficiently beyond buying more efficient appliances? Like, are there certain kind of pots and pans or anything like that?

Thanks

Well you need to use the proper tool for the job. Toster ovens and microwaves use less energy then a conventional oven.

Pressure cookers can help reduce cooking time/energy as well, and let you can your garden goodies for later.
