Whoo! What an added wrench thrown into the works with the DHW option!

OK, so with the previous design considerations, you have a lineset running into your equipment closet that is being used as-is right now. The air handler has its own metering device indoors connected the coil with a check valve. Due to site constraints, it was decided not to mess with existing runs of water or refrigerant lines. All the mods can be done outdoors, where the outdoor unit sits. You also have your DX loop and compressor for the HPWH situated right next to where the HVAC unit is now.

As far as DHW being generated off of the GSHP, the simplest and most reliable method would be a desuperheater HX in between the compressor discharge and the reversing valve. That way, it is always heating, regardless of mode, without extra components. The main issue with this approach is now you have two heating loops that have to run through the water heater. It doesn't matter whether you use a refrigerant-to-water exchanger at the GSHP or at the tank, you would still have to run some sort of piping to the tank.This translates to heat loss of some sort.

Also, the little DX rig seems to be serving you well in its current configuration. The added water heating loop would definitely have an effect on that system, and would vary between heating and cooling modes of the GSHP. Also translates to heat loss somewhere.

Yes I will be changing out the cap tubes in the existing air handler with a TXV. So all the work can be done outside. Meaning I will have to insulate the water coils outside.

So maybe the water heater idea is too much? I guess if the house thermostat didn't call for heat for a few days I would have to add a call in from the water heater to turn the compressor on at like 35%. Maybe I should just stay with what I got.

Hello! The heat pump is 1ton.
Drilling 36 meters.
The heat pump is factory production.
What should be the diameter of the two tubes in dry drilling?

In that thread, Memphis used 1/4 inch tubing in a 30 foot borehole. Barely big enough for a 4000 BTU rig. Still works like magic after thousands of hours worth of hot water production.

Default dx heat pump pipe

This is my machine.
Is it suitable for vertical mounting of the copper pipe?
Do I need a special model for vertical mounting in drilling?
The instruction stated only horizontal installation in three circuits 60 m / 196 ft / tube 3/8.
I suggest tube 3/8 liquid and 1/2 for returning gas to the machine / two tubes in drilling /.
In the uploaded file I did not see anything about DX installation?

I have a packless 5T coaxial. I can measure for you this weekend if you like, but I'm guessing it's probably 20' if unrolled. My suggestion is go as big as you can....monster size if possible. You can always pump the water through slower if you need to, enjoying the lower pump amp draw.
