I know a few people that the insurance told to remove wood burners in shops/garage within 30 days or get cancelled. reason for supsened is if there is a gas spill/ leak gas vapor stay along the floor and boom boom

i have may 3 plus attached stalled garage insulated to r50 ceilings and r21 walls. it stays about 40 degrees in the winter and only dropped below freezing once when we had -20 below for several days about 7 years ago.

i had a convection propane i turn on when i want to work out there and it gets to 55 degrees pretty fast
