There isn't any discount on those motors in the wholesale market, $200 is the lowest I've seen them. Supply house doesn't push them much.

My new motor stopped working after not even a month use.

It has a 5 year warranty so I thought no problem. I reinstalled my old motor to get the heat working again. I called Tech support told them what I had tried with the motor and they agreed the motor was bad. But they don’t work with consumers for warranty only wholesalers.

I contacted the company I got it off on Amazon and explained what has happened. They said they sent it to me it worked I have to go the MFG for the warranty. I called tech support they took all my info serial number model number. I confirmed they got this info and said I just wanted a replacement motor or this one fixed.

Now they will not take my calls or answer my emails. I called the head office only voice mail and they will not return calls.

If you are looking at using this motor buyer beware they will not work with consumers.

Do not buy this motor from Amazon
SNTech Energy Saving Motors GI10750G 1/2HP 115/208-230V 1075RPM Mtr ODP - Amazon.com
They are not distributors and SNTech will not honor the warranty.

I filled a claim with Amazon then I had to dispute the charges two days after disputing the charges Amazon sided with me. Once they refunded me I canceled the credit card dispute.

If they don't want the motor back, maybe open it and try to fix it?

Yes we think alike. The motor spins freely so I would guess it is the control board. I will be taking it apart soon.

Amazon paid the claim not the person that sold it to me and they don’t want it back. I guess shipping would cost more than a broken motor is worth to them.

If that is how SNTech does business then I would be hesitant to buy their product from any distributor. I see that Amazon still has the motor listed.

I was very unhappy with this and I have never had this happen to me before. Always before as long as you bought it new and could prove this the company has always owned up to their warranty.
Not good business at all.
Check out their latest review.

It would be nice if the larger Nidec and Delta ECM motors were commonly available to DIYers. Those two brands are regarded as very reliable.
