They look pretty good. How do they compare to the other ones that were planted at the same time?

Here is a video with the fish eating.
The water temp is up to 79 you can see how much more active they are. They all are doing good except the one that jumped out when we picked them up. We call him lefty he swims on his left side. |

I'll go over this evening and see what everyone else did with their plants. UPDATE: The other plants These plants all had a good 2-3 week head start on mine: Marigolds and wirey sedum new this year. Sedum will come back next year. Plants in the foreground of pevious pic, this area has been weeded. Elephant ear, marigolds, petunias in 25 gallon cattle feed containers. Here's a shot of the water trough goldfish pond. My phone got damp (starting a siphon) and the camera fogged up around 8 pm. The pond has a net over it because my dad added some "magic algae eater in a bottle", which made the goldfish try to commit suicide by jumping out of the trough! I would have taken pics of the renters' shares, but none survived.... Last edited by jeff5may; 06-08-15 at 08:16 PM.. |

Lefty (the hurt fish) did not make it. I guess the jump from the bucket to cement 15’ high was too much for him.
The rest of the fish look good. The water test are all coming out good. I have been collecting rain water to add to it I have 960 gallon saved up. But it has been raining and the system has more water than it needs. If I would turn off the pump the sump would over flow. |

Last night we broadcast lettuce seed in a couple spots. We will see how that works out.
I saw videos saying that this would work. Last edited by pinballlooking; 06-15-15 at 11:17 AM.. |

Tiny lettuce seed. Most plants you do starters and transplant them in just like dirt growing.
But lettuce seed can start just by Broadcasting. I am thinking about adding 25 bluegill and maybe one catfish. The catfish like to clean the bottom of the tank. My water is down to 78 again and my fish really not eating that much. The weather has been over cast. I might add some solar water heating to get them to eat more. |

The tomato in the front is doing ok the one in the back is not doing so well.
Broccoli are doing good Cucumber is still doing pretty good. The radial flow filter I am just draining out and dumping into the grow bed for now. I need all the nutrients I can get at this point and I don’t have a very large fish load. I might bypass that filter all together for a while. |

I am just trying out an experiment. I got a 100’ drinking water safe black tubing. I laid it out on a couple scrap pieces of pond liner. It is cloudy today so sun no sun type of a day.
Fish tank is 78.4 deg water coming out of this black tubing is 82 deg a 3.6 deg rise not bad. Later in the summer I will have to set it up like others have for pool heaters and add some more tubing. |
