Default 47 mph wind

Well my new mounts survived the 47mph wind that upturned everything else around here and left our rural area without power for several hours.

You design things for high winds hoping you never get them, it's nice to see they make it when you do though!

Nice! I agree, when designing my rack it seemed like certain things were overkill. But, when you think all that work could go down the drain on one windy day... its definitely worth it.

Things happen.. This was just a freak gust of wind..

I was still in the process of finding a good spot for the mount..
Right afterwards, I nailed it down to the ground, tight!

You were lucky not to break a module!

I was very lucky. I was standing right next to the mount.
I rocked towards me, then went east, away from me..

Those panels are pretty solid. I've had large limbs crash into them too..

After I saw the wind speed on my weather station I went out and checked to see if any of the modules had cracked from distorting the frames. You're right they are tough.

Nice bill!
I am so jealous that you can offset the service charge. We cannot offset the service charge so $8.50 is the lowest I can get my bill. By lake Hartwell SC their services $29.50 a month and you cannot offset it. What a racked very anti solar.

PB,
Down state NY people on ConEd have to pay an EXTRA fee for interties!
My electric coop is wonderful in dealing with interties. They like the idea it off sets their buying of power.

That is what kills me they need so much solar by law but they still are not pro solar.
Instead of giving rebates to increase solar they are going to install their own solar on people’s property and give you a little money for using your property to install their solar.

Here is mine they just raised the service fee $1 so this bill is showing just part of that raise.
Our rates went up about 5% but the service fee went up more than that.

It sounds like you have a good electric coop.
