I actually LOVE the winter.
I live on Vancouver island which happens to be the mildest place in Canada , it is currently having a record mild and dry warm winter - I will add its not by chance I live here its by my common sense or more directly my displeasure with freezing waist deep snow and driving ice storms.. |

I dislike winter and the cold. I can’t wait until summer. This Jan was one of the coldest months in a long time. I certainly could do without this very cold weather.

greif, I think we're at about the same number of days with sub-zero temperatures here in the next state over with about 2 weeks worth of days where we've been double digit below zero. It is getting old fast.

I hate THIS winter!
Last night, the forecast was for 9F minimum, so I programmed the Sanyos
to turn off and set the oil burner to turn on.. Went to bed.. This morning, I saw the local chart.. It bottomed out at 7AM, and it never got down under 11 degs all night! I wasted a few gallons of oil.. (This is the second time I've been tricked by the forecast)! ~~~~ Now, look at the right side of the chart for tonight.. Yeah, at 11PM it's 6 deg F! Accuweather still says it's going to stay above 12F all night!! Woburn Hourly Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for MA 01801 ~~~~~~~11pm 12am 1am 2am 3am 4am 5am 6am Temp (°F) 15° 15° 15° 13° 12° 12° 13° 13° I'm reading 9.6 F right now, and I've got the oil burner started up again.. Another miss for Accuweather! More like Accuweasels!!

If you wait until mid-summer to top off the oil or whatever the cheapest time to buy the stuff is, what sort of price does it come for each gallon? How much do you figure you'll need?

Who would have ever thought 12 degrees is cause to celebrate? I'm running out of room to push snow, I start at banning of season by pushing it back about 30 ft back on the lawn and now I'm back up to the driveway...... so 30 ft of 4 ft deep piles yuck
