I have been using it more than I thought I would. It is just fun to ride and I enjoy riding a lot more than I thought I would.

I soldered two pieces of copper across the mosfets. I am not really sure how much that will help but people that did the mod claimed it helps.

I went over a bunch of the solder joints and added a small amount of solder. I do believe this will help as some of the joints looked very questionable.

I added a resistor in parallel this should increase the current flow AMPS. (Shunt Mod)

I had to order an adapter for my measuring device. I need to find out the amp draw now then install the moded controller and measure the amp draw to know how much I increased it.

I did not like the looks and they were cheap plastic. I thought it just made it look and feel cheap.
I my get something like this later.

I did a 27 mile ride on the Thermal Belt Trail in NC.
It is a very nice place to ride. It was worth the trip.
Beautiful weather for a bike ride. I still had 62% battery left.

New back shock, tires, Derailleur Hanger, HG51 8-Speed Cassette, ring gear 54T.
The shock that the bike came with was designed for 330 pound person.

New shock is air adjustable for your weight.

New tires are more for road not trails.

Derailleur Hanger makes it shift better. Old one was not stiff enough.

HG51 8-Speed Cassette, ring gear 54T. This makes you be able to pedal at higher speeds.
54T has two more teeth for more top end.

New Cassette has a better gear for higher speed.

Now I can use the top 3 gears more before I was mostly using just the top gear.

Sounds like a lot of new parts! How much nicer is it now?

The old back shock made for a 330 pound person did not have any give at all.
That was a must change for me.

I have 280 miles on it now. The changes really help make it to ride and pedal the way I want it to.
I enjoy it better now and it performs better.

If someone buys this bike would you need these changes. I would say no a lot people just ride them.
A handful of us change them to work the way you want it to work.

I am pleased with the changes so far and would do them again.

Next up is to add my power meter then the moded controller to see how big of change it makes.

My Xmas parts.

Bafang 750 watt motor. I will replace just the internals of the motor.
35 amp controller new throttle with the right wiring to go to the new controller.

New PAS (pedal assist sensor) sensor to go to the new controller.

New display that the controller requires. I liked my old display but it will not work with the new controller.

370 miles so far.
