I wonder how much doing all that really helps? On an off note, I also wonder if radiant heated houses have less problems with dust? I'd think so.

Definitely. Because there's no air blowing around and dust from the outside isn't being pulled in and blown around your house.
On the other hand, with radiant heating, you'd have to open your windows a lot for fresh air. |

70% of dust in most houses is dead skin and hair, so no, radiant heated houses shouldn't have less dust, maybe less air born dust, but the filter on your furnace gets alot of the air born dust, that is why it's a good idea to run the fan while vacuuming.
the dead skin and hair is a big part of why I don't like in door pets. And just a quick off topic response to higgy's fresh air with radiant heat, fresh air is an issue in any tight house unless you have an air to air heat exchanger because the furnace is taking air from inside the house, heating it and spitting it back in to the house, no fresh air is introduced. |
