Default I repaired my Insteon Serial Modem Interface.

This is how my home automation talks to my house lighting. The power supply goes bad in them.
So I bought about $2 in parts and fixed it as other before me have. I used better caps they are higher temp. They think the get to hot and go bad. Sure saves paying 80 + shipping for a new one.
Here is the post.
Repair of 2413S PLM When the Power Supply Fails - Smarthome Channel - Universal Devices Forum

This setup runs my hot water recirculation pump. When you turn on a light close to water. Like a bathroom light it will run the pump for a certain amount of time. So when you get to the sink it is warm.
This was bad for a day before I fixed it man you don’t realize how much you like this feature until it is gone for a day.
I am very glad it is back.

Glad to see this could help out someone else on here.
There is some info in that post for repairing switches that go bad also.
They can have their capacitors go bad just like the modem.
I ordered some capacitors for that also it is just a mater of time before I will be repairing one of the switches.
