Building a Steel Plate roller

I need a plate roller. Someone sells a set of plans for this one.
They also have a materials list what you need to buy to make it.

I can cut it out with my CNC plasma table.
I am going to build a trenching bucket for subcompact tractor and it has a curved back. The back of the bucket is 10 gauge the sides and the rest are 3/8” steel.

I could make without a roller but this will make a nicer product and I can use it for other projects. Like fire rings who know what else.

Very cool. How thick can you roll?

It will roll 9 inches of 1/4 inch and wider for thinner material up to 36".

Later I can make fire pits with it.

I finished my plate roller. I will get to test it tomorrow.
It is very heavy.

I rolled some 10 gauge this morning. It was simple and quick.
This will work great for my trenching bucket.

I made the roller for this job.
The bucket sides are 3/8” plate and the curved part is 10 gauge.

Here is what the finial product looks like. It will be sandblasted and powder coated black.
I sent a preview to a tractor dealer today and he ordered one.
