We have 2280W of panels, MPPT charge controller, 960Ah batteries and a 4Kw inverter.

In the summer the batteries get charged pretty quickly so around 10am we turn on the AC (an old Pamasonic R22 only cooling unit that takes around 850W) and leave it on until around 7pm, this leaves us with fully charged batteries and a nice cool house.

It's going to rain next weekend, so try to get a good charge near the end of the week..

Over here in the USA, our weather satellites are being neglected,

so they are feeding us old pictures from last Tuesday evening...

Well, everybody needs a vacation during the summer..

I have to rely on primitive radar maps to know if it's going to be sunny or not.

I won't hold my breath!

The forecasts change quickly here and reliability is pretty low as we are so close to a mountain and are affected by the mediterranean.

Best way - look out the window. It sometimes goes so dark you expect a massive downpour but get 2 spots.

The weather in the Boston area can change pretty fast too..
This is my favorite site for short range forecasting.
WOBURN WEATHER CENTER - Radar

I can take one look at this radar display and tell when it will hit and how long it will last.
We just got 0.5" of rain and now it's just over-cast and humid..
