junk heat recovery
For a while now I have been trying to make an efficient way of recovering most of the 3kw of heat that goes out of the building when my wife runs the tumble dryer in the winter. I have just been given the heat exchanger from a junked bosch condenser dryer. I will now build a box around it that the dryer hose connects to with a thermostatically controlled fan to take the heat from the 2nd floor, through the exchanger when the dryer is on and then blow out on the ground floor. The cost of this.... just $15!
