Default We leased a Honda prolonged

We sold our 2018 Chevy Volt just a little over 85K.
We leased 2024 Honda prolonged touring AWD. It is 5K weight but 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. This is the first car we ever leased but tech is changing so fast on EV and they depreciate way to much. The lease deals are super good.
This is basically Chevy Balzer EV with Honda touches.
But we like those changes like Android auto.

Now still driving on the sun.

Default

We got a free home charger with the car. They also gave 500 installation credit. I waived the credit and just had the charger shipped to me to install.

It will do 48 amp charging that is the max the Honda will do.
We like the Silverado EV and it can take 80 amp charging.
I installed the wiring for our charger this past weekend. I ran 2 Gauge copper and 100 amp disconnect switch. So if we want to upgrade to a 80 amp charger we can just put in new charger and a 100 amp breaker.
Its is way over kill for 48 amp charger but I will not have to do many changes to switch to a 80 amp charger. I also had the wire left over from wiring my shop. I had to wire two 100 amp circuits in there.

The charger keeps track of how much energy is used by the charger very cool.
