I've had a Bosch for a while now -- it is also very quiet. The one snag is the soap dispenser pops open way too easily.

Our criteria when we recently bought a new dishwasher was energy efficiency, rack quality and noise level. We have no door between our kitchen and living room. So we bought a Bosch, and we love it. We can barely hear it when it's operating and it cleans well.

We replaced a perfectly functional 9 year old Whirlpool Energy Star model because the vinyl coated metal racks were rusting at the wire ends {where they were poorly coated}.
