The Canadian Panels are now all gone
I was going to buy 15 more to add to my 10 but was emailed back and said no longer for sale.. I should;d have just got 25 in the beginning
will not see a price like that for a while

Dang, that's too bad. I'll bet some investor has those stashed away in his garage.
Better investment than gold or silver (IMHO).

SnakeTray still has some of the "Sunny Boy DC Disconnects, Never Electrified".

One never knows, PV prices of panels have been going down for some time.
Since this 200w model has been discontinued, it might be possible to pick up
some more at a somewhat reasonable price.

Since there is a good chance we are entering an inflation, (check gasoline prices)
it might be good to buy your solar hardware soon, before higher prices hits everything.

I'm starting to wonder if solar companies selling off-grid systems might
be a good investment.?.

The issue I could anticipate, is the infrastructure to do it right. Most folks have enough common sense to appreciate what solar could do for them, but how do you keep a customer enthused and involved thru an expensive investment?

Any sales person can create interest, few can provide hard facts. Overhead would be the largest challenge, realistic deadlines would be close behind. I've only seen a couple of higher education institutes advertising practical solar experience, the fine print of those seem suspect as someone else is designing the system while the student gets rewarded with hard labor.

Nice idea, but cost too much to buy in quantity.

Hams like to use U-Bolts that are sized for the tube.

Then, you can drill out a U-bolt plate for your app..

This 90deg-cross plate, is in two parts, for easy assembly.

A new company in RI is selling "deck mount" or "lawn mount" kits for their solar panels. They are cool and hang on your deck or can be placed on the lawn. Also check out that they actually sell 245 watt mono solar panels with 120 volt AC output using an attached micro inverter. SpinRayEnergy.com

On the contrary Xringer...from what I can see the pricing for a 245 watt panel with an 120 volt micro inverter the price is going to be about $ 950.00 USD, which is less then some of the panels I saw on Amazon that have in the basement inverters. The deck mounts are about $ 150.00. Yhe cool thing about Spinray's panels you can add up to 5 panels ( 1kw) together and still use an outside recepticle. If you want to purchase one panel and then add one once a year you don't have to keep upgrading your basement inverter.

That comes to $612.50. Plus an inverter.. The Enphase M190 can be had for $200..
Comes to $812.50

Just have do the stuff that makes it all legal..

Correct, but as far as I know as of today Enphase does NOT produce a 120 volt micro inverter and the M190 is a 190 watt micro inverter, also Spinray mounts and tests the inverter/panel before shipping so its ready to PnP when you receive it. The rest is markup I guess.
