Default Hello everyone.

Ive been a member for over a year but never really had much to contribute. Its easier to sit back and read, then to post pointless stuff to build a post count. I love this site and all the info that it gives. A lot of this stuff is gibberish to me but i still enjoy reading it.

Welcome to the site a year ago then.

Do you have any projects you're planning?

Thanks Daox!

I currently live in a 1100 sq ft (+ 500sq ft low ceiling basement) 2 story built in 1935. i bought it in may 2008. since i bought it some of the major updates are (in order) ive put a new 93% efficient gas furnace and ductwork in(installed and made the duct work myself and my friends shop). 18" of batt insulation in the attic (2 layers of 9" crisscrossed). Foam insulation in my walls (hired out). New energy star windows(double hung).

the next things on my list is mainly cosmetics. last year i (my friend did and i helped) closed in all the overhangs and put flashing up around the windows and overhangs on the house.) this year i would like to work on the shed and garage so they match the house.

I would also like to dress up the front porch some and build a back deck.

our plan(wife and I) is to find a new(to us) house with some land and hopefully an pole barn. so really the main goal with this house is to make it more presentable because we will most likely be renting it out.
