Enphase Energy Ships 100,000 Solar Microinverters
PETALUMA, CA, Oct 05, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Enphase Energy, the leader in solar microinverter systems, shipped its 100,000th unit in September 2009, reaching this remarkable milestone just over a year after the product's launch in July 2008."

Enphase is doing well. I believe this is because they have a good product
based on a good idea.

If I ever take the plunge, my system is going to be running Enphase gear!

Very cool. Its good to see them doing well. If I were to start doing PV I'd probably go with enphase too. Its nice to have the option to build upon itself instead of taking the few thousand dollar plunge into solar PV with a grid tie inverter.

SunEdison installs Enphase microinverter systems in New Jersey commercial solar project - Photovoltaics International

I've seen some posts (elsewhere) from Solar installers/dealers, where
they were critical of doing large installations with Enphase micro-inverters.
It seems there are some folks who think differently and use them
on pretty large arrays..

I guess there are some in the solar industry that just don't like
the simple low-labor installs provided by the Enphase products..

Dang, those are some pretty big installs. Good to see a cheaper alternative really doing well!

Here's a couple pics of a smaller Enphase install..
Louisiana Solar Solutions Pics 066 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
if you look at the center of the left side of the near-done pic, you can see where the
230VAC cables are being fed into the house.

Looks like a shady place to have solar panels!

If you assume the roof is facing south, and zoom in and look at the shadows from wires on the electrical box,
it appears to be very late in the afternoon. Near sunset.

Click on the 'All Sizes' in the upper left corner of the second pic.
Or maybe here: Flickr Photo Download: Louisiana Solar Solutions Pics 069

They might get a lot of sun in the middle part of the day..
The nice thing about the Enphase inverters, if one panel stops seeing sun,
it has no effect on any of the other panels.. It won't drag them down.

European micro-inverter start-up sets product roll-out after new funding from Good Energies - Photovoltaics International

"European micro-inverter start-up sets product roll-out after new funding from Good Energies"

I think that single phase 230 is used in the UK.. So, I wonder why the plain
old Enphase 230 inverter can't be used in the UK?
