Just as an aside Xringer, We had no storm here to speak of. It was a little more windy than the usual rain storm, but there was no rain really. I went on a bike ride last night at 8:00 PM and it was nice and balmy. You guys on the other side of the state got it pretty bad as I understand it though. My mother had her entire fence collapse. A call to home owner's insurance is in order for her with $15 K in fence damage alone, aside from damage to her house.

We were out and about a little bit today. All of the damage we saw was from trees falling on roofs etc.
One really massive tree fell across the Middlesex turnpike, took the a long time to clear it. I noticed the weather was a little different out in that neck of the woods, while my kid was at UMass. She loved the area. ~~~ One neat thing about the hurricane, I found out that one of my Andersen sliding windows in the den has an air leak. When a really strong gust (50 MPH?) hit the house, I could see the plastic insulation film very slowly expanding outwards. The space between the sliding window and the DIY indoor storm window would slowly pressurize! http://ecorenovator.org/forum/conser...html#post17060 I'll have to check that out, before it gets too cold. It needs some sealing..
