I wouldn't mine having a high-efficiency HRV.
But, my wife wouldn't like it, unless it had a cold air mode. With her, the words 'Fresh air' is code for 'Ice Cold air'. Except of course during the summer time. Then, I get questions like, "How low did you set that thing"??

Actually, wives can be pretty smart. I'm guessing that your wife instinctively knows that, as with water, cold air holds more oxygen than warm air. I proved this to myself when I nearly killed a bowl of goldfish by allowing the temperature to get too high... the goldfish were at the surface gasping and gulping. I put a bubble-stone in the bowl, which brought them back from the edge, and later I relocated the bowl out of the sun so that the water could hold more oxygen. Problem solved. If you get a HRV, she'll get the oxygen she needs and you won't be losing so much heat. -AC_Hacker

Found the cause of the 'dry' air..
After looking at all the fog this morning, I looked at the RH for the last 24 hours,
Last 24 Hours Weather: , it's been really damp out there!! and could not believe it could have been very dry indoors. 34%?? in this leaky house?? Impossible. So, I hauled my new board and my old weather display upstairs and did a comparison.. That Radio Shack unit is going right back to the store!! (No wait, it's 10 or 12 years old now)..
