I purchased a corded Black & Decker mower for my parents. I would advise anyone to steer clear of Black & Decker, since their quality is very poor. A few weekends after using the mower, the wheel literally fell off. This would not have been such a problem except that there was no way to reattach the wheel back onto the mower ( no cotter pin hole in the spindle )
The mower was taken back and exchanged for another of the same type... which proceeded to die within a few months.

HOWEVER, I notice that the battery powered mower by Black & Decker tops the charts in the latest Consumer Reports tests. Perhaps the B&D mowers that I bought were just made on a Monday ... by some guy that was new...and still hungover.

I own the Newton battery electric.
Best money I've ever spent.
