Default 4KW grid-tied battery backup system

im a solar installer in central fla im piecing together my system right now
i finally get to put a system on my house
solar goodies outback vfx3648 3600 watts 48V grid tied battery backup inverter, outback fm80 80A charge controller, 2kw of suntec panels and midnight solar's combiner box. got this all as a bonus from my boss(pretty awesome Boss). im going to order another 2kw of pannels. the system is going to be ground mounted

im going to run 4kw dc to it


i drew up some plans for doing a ground mount

Very cool boss indeed! What made you choose ground mount vs roof?

I have a south facing roof, but my wife isn't willing to put up with an 'eye-sore'..
My stuff (1300w) is out in the backyard.

The arrays are in the best location that I have (back there), but they only get about 50% of the sun available on the roof..

Maybe someday when energy is costing us more than food & cable,
I'll stick some PV on that nice roof..

x there not an eyesore by any means in my opinion i think there neat looking
i got a dc breaker enclosure that mounts to my inverter



i also got a power vent for my batt bank. a 175 amp breaker for the batt bank and an 80 amp breaker for the charge controller along with a shunt

i should note that just the vent, enclosure, shunt and breakers were $330 shipped they nickle and dime ya lol

That's some sweet lookin gear.. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Some people think a neat ground mounted solar array is beautiful.
And I'm one of those guys.. I just like looking at them..

thats the exact size array as my bosses house which is also a ground mount i like ground mounts also but if my roof was facing the correct way it would go up there

yes it is heres 2kw worth of pannels the other 2kw has been ordered


















now i need to get a bunch more parts then i can continue
