Default just another newbie

Hello - I'm Fred and I'm a wannabe EcoRenovator. As my title says - I'm a "Lurking Renovator" - and I'm hoping to get ideas. Found this site while surfing the net for ways to renovate an old wood furnance and make it more efficient. Lot's of good reads on here.

Thanks for the welcome. I'd be happy to share. It is not my top project right now ( I would rather play with it but someone else feels I have other priorities - which is probably true.) but will post up when I do. Mainly getting ideas now so I know what to keep my eyes open for and grab when & where I can. Basically picked up an old wood furnace for the shop I want to make more efficient. Similar to what Daox and others have done. I can't find any mfg info but it has a Warnock Hersey cert dtd '82. Reading all this info wants me want to go play with it.

I don't know if you saw, but we have a pretty decent thread on wood burner efficiency mods here:
