Default WattSun DC motor

Hello, I have a WattSun TR-100 Solar Tracker. The motor has burned out.
Does anyone know of a source? The motor operates on 24V DC, has a worm gear drive, is 4" long from mounting face to bearing end and is 2" in diameter.
The distance between the two mounting screws is 2 1/2" center to center.
The unit was purchased from Array Technologies, New Mexico in 2001. Their item number was WSV75-04S. Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers

This site has the tracker for sale. They might be able to get you parts:

I looked at the TR55 tracker and it looks like they are using Satellite dish movers. Linear actuators.

Those things are available on Ebay.. I use one on my DIY tracker.

Edit:
Never mind.. I just found a pdf for your system. It looks like a special motor..

Have you tried to repair the motor? If the coils are not melted or open,
maybe it's just an End-limit diode or switch?

I have tried all of those sources. I think that the DC motor that I need may be incorporated into the Jaeger SMR-1224. I had a exploded drawing of the SMR-1224 and item number 12 looks exactly like the motor that I need. Are any of you familiar with that motor. My burned out one has the dimensions mentioned in my first post. Can that motor be bought seperatley? Cheers

Do you know exactly what is wrong with your motor?

I've repaired a few motors by finding faults in the power supply-to-motor circuits
and replaced the brushes on a lot of DC motors..

Sometimes a dish mover will hit the end-limit switch and not be able to move
back the other way.
The motor is still good, but the end-limit diode has gone bad or has a loose connection..

Here is how they are connected to allow the motor to reverse after hitting the end limit switch (which cuts the power).

I had a mechanical hangup on my mount, which loaded down and stopped the motor,
but the fuse protected it from melt-down. I was lucky, just had to replace a fuse..

Default motor burned

It is burned badly. My fuse did not blow. As I stated in a previous post, I think that the motor may now be used in the Jaeger SMR-1224. If I could identify it as such, I would be happy to buy one. Cheers again

Maybe you can find a used one. It seems like Jaeger isn't around anymore.

When I was a kid, we had a motor repair shop in town.. They used to strip them down
and re-wind the armature with new wire.. Too bad those days are gone..

As a last resort, you might have to ditch the motor and add-on a regular dish actuator.
There a lot of examples on this page: LED3X Solar Tracker Assembly
