![]() http://www.ebay.com bid
http://www.ebay.com buy it now $55 ![]() After taking a quick look at the specs, I get the feeling this might be a good deal for someone who is into controlling stuff with X10s (or TTL). I was looking at those temperature sensors and thinking they might be a good way of using X10 controls to switch off my Sanyo ASHP units, when they aren't needed. I could switch them off with X10 modules (which I do now manually on one unit) and save some power that is normally used in standby mode. (Heating the crankcase oil & keeping the controllers running). The control program could be based on time, indoor temp, outdoor temp, occupancy and user input.. Might even be cool to put my alarm system on a timer ANDed with motion sensor input. HAL 1.0: "Hey, they went to sleep, arm the system"! ![]() |

![]() I've read a little more and this thing looks like something that would be very useful
for all kinds of home monitoring apps. You can log into it (like a website) or have it send you emails, when certain 'vectors' hit a limit.. I think CAI Networks might have built too many of these for their own use. CAI Networks - WebControl™ - Industrial Controller over TCP/IP network Or maybe more than they can sell to web server operators. A few years ago, gizmos like this would cost a lot more bucks.. Found some reviews Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Webcontrol Universal Network Enabled Timer Temperature Humidity I/o Controller Last edited by Xringer; 10-23-11 at 01:14 PM.. Reason: reviews |
