Ecomodded. It's evident you've not had the good sense to refrain from posting when you're snockered. Many of us who've watched your tirades have figured it out. You can later remove the most offensive drunken remarks when you're sober but that does not remove them from our memories. My powers of observation, and many others here also, are better than you think. We see a lot of the real you come out when inebriated, and believe me it shows a lot of hatefulness and is unflattering to you.

The u.s government behaves like its unbelievable stinking Rich
when in Fact it Has made 16 Trillion Dollars of Debt & counting for the Citizens to pay back Tossing billions around like its chump change is the cause.

In An actually money making Energy Supply Project.

To Power Industries. They could Help bring this reality to "light"
If increasing the demand doesn't bring down the prices nothing will.
Once the Price is down everyone can afford a system.

Government should take the initiative and mandate it.
Maybe they are right on the cusp of it now ! you would think so.

Pshh... That's chump change. Corporatations in the 50s were taxed at ~6% of GDP. Now they're down to ~1%. That's $7.5+ Trillion over Ten Years.

More than enough to pay for everything on your list and pay off the national debt in 30 years. Cut military spending in half and it'll be done in 10-15 years.

We could seriously cut military spending.. But we would have to start using drones equipped with nukes..

I was gonna say we'd have to pull out of Iraq/Afghanistan, but sure, we could do that instead? Most frontline commanders want renewable power because the cost and logistics required to get that ~$1.5 billion/year of extra gasoline is a lot more than that. Supply convoys are targeted routinely, and all that manpower can be better used for actual war-fighting/stabilization.

On the front lines in remote areas, fuel costs may be as high as $400-$1000 per gallon. If the US government want to fund the NREL to find ways to reduce the billions in energy the US military spends, I imagine it's probably worthwhile.

Ultimately, criticizing the salary of a government employee as excessive may be accurate. However, bringing in other worthwhile expenditures, and more importantly, not criticizing the trillions more that corporations and high earners don't pay due to their back room tax deals is extremely disingenuous.

That's probably valid, but again, it's chump change. Our low effective tax rates on corporations compared to 1950s US tax rates reduce government tax revenue by ~$750 billion/year, and our low personal tax rates reduce government tax revenue by ~$600 billion/year, compared to 1950s US tax rates.

If we return the corporate and personal income tax rates to their 1950s level, we'll generate ~13.5 trillion dollars in tax revenue in ten years. That's enough to nearly wipe out the national debt and pay for big bird in less than 15 years

That said, I can't blame the wealthy for trying all these faux-patriotic/false-flag/astroturf movements to cut public spending, when the elephant in the room is the ridiculously low effective corporate/income taxes. Greedy people want more money.

Fortunately our grandparents generation wasn't greedy, and their higher corporate and income taxes were more than able to pay off the national debt accrued during the war. I can't say with much certainty that the babyboomers have that kind of backbone.
