Smile Grid tie inverters

Hi guys
I need a little help here. I have 6 panels that I've made 4 years ago and they are functioning great. I have 2 sets of 3 wired in series and then connected in parallel. On the brightest day they produce up to 62 volts DC. Right now I'm using a charge controller to feed a battery bank. I would like to try a grid tie controller but can find only grid ties that go to 60 volts DC. Can anyone give me some insight because I don't want to rewire the panels.

Thanks

What is your battery bank ? If it is 48V then you are charging each individual cell at 2.5V. That would be pretty high.

I'm using a 48v bank and the charge controller sees about 70 volts from the PV.
The charge controller sets the voltage level to the battery bank..

I once considered using two 240vac EnPhase GTI units with each connected 2 batteries.
Splitting the 48v into two 24v sources for the inverters.

The problem I see with using the battery bank.. Is over-discharging.
If I don't have a good control on those GTIs, they will vampire the bank flat.

But, I'm not interested in going to GTIs just yet..
Here in MA, the state wants MA approved vendors and installers doing the work, not DIYers.
Too much trouble to do it legally.. So I'm not doing it..

Exactly what I expected. Any "48V" rated GTI inverter will handle what the charge controller can put out which would like not exceed 58V,
