Volcano-powered energy source
Very interesting idea. Though, I thought they did this fairly often already?

Hawaii would be great place for this technology, the mother lode of geothermal heat.
I would of thought they used magma for making steam even a century ago. |

I looked into Magma and Lava seems they have about the same temperatures
they are just in Different places. It may just be a first for Magma , not Lava , that's my guess. |

Magma and lava are the same thing. Magma when it's underground and when it hits the surface it's called lava.
Hawaii would be good for geothermal but they don't have the land area like iceland does to do the drilling. Once you get off shore it drops off. I remember in school there they said the hotspot had moved off the big island and was off shore a good bit. We went over to the big island and up the volcano. 4 days after we were there and back at home on Oahu it started erupting again. IE lots of unknowns on where the magma is as well. |
