Ours use a lot less energy to keep our house cool.
They can use some power to make heat but they work well.

I can not believe how much we have been using the mini-splits for Heating..
It seemed like we get a peek at Spring for a day or two, every few weeks..
Then, it's back to cold rainy or overcast weather.. Limited solar gain..

I hope we get to test the full cooling capability of the Gree, before the fall hits..

Default In Six easy steps, we got summer!

On the 6th, we used the heat. Also on the morning of the 7th..
It started creeping up! We got to run the cooling for the last three days!
Both the Gree and the Sanyo are working great.

Yesterday morning, I re-installed the solar screens on the Den's west windows. They help with the E-bill..

Default KWH use since Dec 2016

09-17 22 11
10-17 41 33
11-17 144 235
12-17 244 453

The average temperatures lately have been very similar to 2016 temps.
However, due to the senior citizen effect, I have not been religiously lowering the thermostats at night.
I believe my weight loss (due to intermittent fasting) is causing me to be more sensitive to the cold.
I'm getting used to a nice warm house in the morning..

Bravo for the weight loss ! :-)

But , yes , you are loosing insulation .

I could easily afford to loose 50 pounds of insulation .

Merry Christmas , my friend ! :-)
God bless you and yours

I was thinking of shooting for around 50 lbs.. I was close to 200 last January,
when my grandson was born.. Now holding steady at 175..
After the holidays, I'll decide if I want to go for 165 or 150. Also depends on my doctor.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, right back at ya!

Default Cold these days..

Must be caused by Global Warming.. It's been really cold lately, and it's getting colder..
The Gree is doing fine. Have not been able to use the Sanyo, for a while now.

Just a quick note: plus thx to Xringer.

This fall I installed a Gree Crown in my gfs studio.

How's it been working? Our neck of the far north has been taking a beating. The last week has seen lows of -29C (-20F). Every night has come very close to this. Today was a "warm" day. It was a high of -17C.

The Gree has kept her somewhat insulated "studio" warm. We have turned the temp down to 16C. Apparently as low as it will go. To save energy.

Sorry. No delightful graphs accompany my report. Just saying that this technology works even in the somewhat extreme cold.
