T5 13W florescent ballast
Its been a while, but I had an under cabinet light go out. I've figured out it was the ballast that went bad on it. I pulled it apart and saw that a resistor was toasted on the board. I pulled apart another one to see what the resistor value was and soldered a new one in. It didn't work. So, I'm looking for a replacement ballast. These apparently aren't available locally for me, and I haven't had good luck on Amazon either. I tried a T12 ballast, but the bulb runs quite a bit warmer than the one next to it.
Does anyone have a source for ballasts they can recommend?

Might be a good time to upgrade the light to LED , if they sell LED tubes in that length ..?
If needed the LED ballasts are cheap on eBay $5-$10 then you could reuse the fixture. |
