If you read reviews of those everyone starts out saying "needs more wind",
Those turbines were designed to go on sail boats, that is why the people who are happiest with them have them on boats, the people who have them and are waiting for the windy season have them on their house.
I started seeing turbines like that starting about 20 years ago being sold as the Air 303 and then the Air 403 and now it looks like they are being sold under other names, if you really want one buy a used one as they never wear out because they never get mounted high enough to function, if you want a wind turbine to work well mount it 50 feet above anything within 500 feet, this includes dog houses, shrubs, everything! ground clutter affects air speed, even comparing a golf course cut of grass to a lawn that hasn't been mowed in weeks will affect your air speed.

Plus the house to the west is on higher ground and is now 3 stories tall..

We are surrounded here. Almost completely protected from high winds.
Even during hurricane season (rare here) I've never had wind damage.
(Well, once the glass storm door (south side) got wind-slammed and broke).

It's a running battle just to keep a little sun on the PV..

No wind power for me..
