Default Plasma Cutter Track

I am think about making a plasma track cutter. Yes a CNC plasma table would be so sweet.
I think I can make a tracker pretty quick and pretty cheap.

For my projects 3' should be enough maybe 4' at most.

I think I will make this one this weekend. It is just a square made into a cutter guide.

I am not sure I am going to make a track now. I really like the clean straight cuts you can make with it.

I am going to make the modified builders square one. I just bought a builder’s square to make it.

I have been using my new cutter and as long as I have a guide, I am doing a pretty good job cutting straight. I got a stand off that really helps.

I was using my plasma cutter tonight and my welder ground was connected but I thought it was my plasma cutter ground. (They look the same)
I was trying to cut ½ plate. It was not working very well at all. I messed my tip up. Then I saw my ground was not connected.
It cut so much better with the ground connected.

Here is what I ended up making.
My old square was in very bad shape. I kept the new one I bought and cut up my old one.

This really helps in making quick straight cuts. Very cheap to make.
