Default Hey there...

Hello to everyone on the forum. Just joined (obviously). Work in the renewable energy industry for the past 4 years, first on the install side, now in consulting. Originally have a real estate background going on almost 20 years now (yikes). Little new to forums in general but have recently discovered that they are really a great way to interact with people, see what others are doing, bounce off ideas and learn a bit... so I'm kind of excited to see what is going on with people here and available to offer my advice and "two cents" (for what it's worth).

Thanks,

Ken Fields

Nothing in particular... in my past real estate life I've renovated everything from low income housing, office buildings, hotels, restaurants, private homes etc... sold off my last investment property a few months ago... starting to get a little "itchy and restless" (I like having projects to do). Have a house in upstate CT that we haven't touched in 30 years and is in need of gradual but full renovation - as one of my friends stated when he visited last summer "1982 called, they want their house back"... boiler should probably be replaced (we're on oil, I'd like to go somewhere else with that)... foundation has settled some, lots of cracks everywhere, love to renovate garage... big pool, wouldn't mind putting in solar pool heat...

Since I work more on the business-y side of the industry, I thought it would be fun to learn about ideas here to expand my knowledge base, and keep me occupied... "idle hands..."
